Robert Wickliffe, Jr. was born on March 31, 1789 and died on April 5, 1855 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. He was the son of Robert Wickliffe, Sr. and Sarah Kincheloe. Robert married Agness Young on September 3, 1812. Agness was the daugther of William Young. She was born on May 30, 1793 and died on June 5, 1867 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. I believe the original genealogical pages from this Bible still exist. They were last in the hands of Mrs. Emily Wickliffe Walker as late as 1989. I don't think the Bible exists, though. These pages may have been transcribed in The Muhlenberg County Heritage Quarterly, v. 11, no. 3, pages 31-32. With the family record, probably the Wickliffe Bible, were three pages of what would appear to be the birth records of slaves. I will list them below as well. I only have copies of the originals. I guess the pages were very yellowed and did not make for good copies. Words that were difficult to read are in italics. Click on the links to see the copy of the original record. (If I remember correctly, I think Robert Wickliffe, Jr. freed many, if not all, of his slaves in his will. I read it, but didn't copy it. He even paid for them to sail to Liberia if they couldn't find freedom in America.)
