Sources:
(1) The History of Yorkshire; Wapentake of Gilling West, by Marshall General Plantagenet Harrison (1885). The Wycliffe 
pedigree only says that Robert de Wycliffe was lord of Wycliffe in the time of King Henry II (1154-1189). I assume 
Robert died sometime around the end of Henry II's reign in 1189, but that is a guess. I'll put abt 1195 for 
now. 
(2) The History of Yorkshire; Wapentake of Gilling West, by Marshall General Plantagenet Harrison (1885). The Wycliffe 
pedigree only says that Roger de Wycliffe was lord of Wycliffe in the time of King John (1199-1216) and he was named in 
some legal proceedings in 27 Henry III (abt 1243).
