(2) His grave marker bears the date of his birth as 17 Aug 1888, one year before his parents married. The 1900 Census 
records the date as Aug 1891.  When he registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Mena, Polk County, 
Arkansas, he gave his birthdate as 17 Aug 1893. In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of 
Randolph, Arkansas and again gave his birthdate as 17 Aug 1893.
