Clement died of "blunt trama to the head." He is not buried with his wife in Shelbina, MO. Rather, he is buried in a potter's field in St. Joseph, MO. There are no gravestones or markings for those buried there.

In 1910, Clem and Ethel Bodine lived with Clem's parents in Waco Township, Sedgwick County, Kansas.

Clem Bodine, 23, AND Ethel Parsons, 19, both of Wichita, Kansas, were married 4 May 1910 at Wichita by Julius M. Momnier, Roman Catholic Preacher of the Gospel.

On 5 June 1917, Clem Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Noble County, Oklahoma. He reported he was born 4 Feb 1887 in Paris, Illinois, worked as a farmer, was married and had 5 children.

On 27 April 1942, Clement Bodine of St. Joseph, Missouri registered for the World War II Draft. He reported he was born 4 Feb 1887 in Paris, Illinois, was self-employed, and named Ethel Bodine as his next of kin. [Note: In place of a middle name he wrote “None.”]

Clem Bodine, 59 years old, died yesterday at a local hospital. He was born in Paris, Ill. and had lived in St. Joseph about 14 years. He made his home on a farm on rural route No. 2. Mr. Bodine was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Bodine, Vandalia, Mo.; eight sons and four daughters and a brother, Eli Bodine of St. Joseph. The body is at Rupp's mortuary.

Mrs. Ethel Bodine of Vandalia is mentioned on several occasions in the Mexico (MO) Ledger, the latest on 11 Aug 1976. [Note: On-line issues end in 1977, therefore a likely obituary is presently unavailable.]
