Mrs. Jessie Rousmaniere remembers her as a "handsome, exuberant lady, who was very close to and generous to her mother Kate Bodine and her other niece Nelle Stone Bontraeger." She lived at the Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis when Mrs. Rousmaniere remembers her. They had twins, who died at birth. She was called "Auntie" by her relatives.
