From Ronny Bodine:
Obituary, Monitor-Index and Democrat (Moberly, Mo.) of 12 Feb 1932.
PARIS, Mo., Feb. 12 (Monitor-Index Special Service)-- A few hours after her sister's funeral, Miss Glendora Bodine, 72, died at her home at 5 o'clock this morning. She was a sister of Tom Bodine, editor of the Paris Mercury. Her sister, Miss Pattie Bodine, 68, died early Wednesday morning. Death was due to influenza, an outgrowth of an acute, bronchical infection to which she had been afflicted each winter for the past several years. She had been in poor health for many years. She had been seriously ill about a week. While her health did not permit her to take as active a part in community affairs as her sister, Miss Bodine had long been a leader in Paris literary, circles, and had been censor of the Paris Literary Club for many years. She was a member of the Paris Christian Church. Funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow morning at 10:30. o'clock. The Rev. A. R. McQueen, pastor of the Christian Church here, will be in charge. Burial will be beside her sister at Walnut Grove cemetery here. The funeral for Miss Pattie Bodine yesterday was held at the Christian Church and was attended by one of the largest crowds ever to attend a funeral at Paris.
