Notes for: Elizabeth (Betsy) Bodine

See the book "Genealogical Notes of New York and New England Families," by S.V. Talcott (1883) page 73 for a little more on this family. See also page 70 for info on an uncle who also married an Elizabeth Bodine. Seems like this could be this same family. In the book "History of the West Branch Valley" (by Chambers?), p. 523, it says that "Betsy Douw and her younger sister Judy Bodine were visitors all life long at the residence of their cousin, John Thompson."

In John Thomson and His Family (1889, p. 16), it says this Betsy Bodine was the second wife of Folkert Dow (Tfolkert Douw). They had seven children.
