Notes for: Mary (Maria, Marietje) Bodine

Ronny said this Mary Bodine married a Derick Dow. I had no husband for her before that (2013). It seems correct based on the will of Mary Dow below.

From Ronny Bodine:

The will of Derick Dow of Bridgewater Township, Somerset County was written 8 Nov 1805. Therein he named his wife Maria, daughter Catherine and sons John, David and Fulkert. Executors were his sons John and Fulkert Dow and friend John Brokaw. Witnesses were James Voorhees, Peter Van Nest and Judith Bodine. [Somerset County Wills, vol. A [1804-1814], pp. 48-49]

The will of Mary Dow of Bridgewater Township, Somerset County, written 28 Dec 1807. The will names only two beneficiaries "...residue to be divided equally share and share alike between my two sisters Betsy Dow, widow of Folkard Dow decd & Juda Bodine..." The will was proved 9 Jan 1808. [Somerset County Wills, vol. A [1804-1814], pp. 160-161].
