Notes for: Jacob Bodine

Information from somewhere says he moved to Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. This is near Lycoming County where his probable nephew, Jacob, (husband of Mary Pickel) also ended up. More work needs to be done to figure out who his descendants were - if he had any. It's also possible that he married Mary Diltz, the daughter of Henry Diltz. She is called Mary Bodine in her father's will. A John Bodine was an executor. Jacob's brother, John, married Ann Diltz, daughter of Peter Diltz.

I did have Jacob's father listed as John Bodine, the son of Jacob Bodine and Elizabeth Sebring. However, I see no evidence for that conclusion. Someone else thought that Jacob's parents might be named Jacob and Catherine. I think it is possible his father was an Abraham Bodine, but that is also a wild guess. Now that I mention it, I really have no evidence that Jacob had a brother named John. I wonder where that info came from. I consider it doubtful, but I will leave it for now.
