Mrs. Erna Bodine Sadler, 81, died in the Logan County Hospital Monday, Dec. 31, at 10:40 a.m., following a short illness. Mrs. Sadler was born in Logan County, Nov. 22, 1881, the daughter of Charles W. and Mary K. Whitescarver Bodine and married Eugene Sadler on Oct. 31, 1906. She lived on Route 4, Russellville, and was a member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E. E. Spickard, assisted by the Rev. Lyons, at the Green Ridge Baptist Church Tuesday, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Phillips, Elkton, Mrs. Catherine Lemae Carter, Rt. 4, Bowling Green; one son, the Rev. Carl E. Sadler, Lexington; one brother, Verna Bodine, Clearmont, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Young Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Eugene Saddler, 84, a retired farmer, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jess Carter, Route 4, Bowling Green, Sunday, Sept. 29, at 5 p.m., following a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E. E. Spickard at the Green Ridge Baptist Church Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m., with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Saddler was born in Logan County May 2, 1879, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Susan Katherine Page Saddler. His wife, the former Erna Bodine, died nine months ago. He was the oldest member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. carter, and Mrs. Genera Phillips, Elkton; one son, the Rev. Carl E. Saddler, Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Goddard, Mrs. Kate Heltsley, both of Russellville; one brother, Sam Saddler, Claymour; 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Young Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
