Mrs. Etta Lillian Bodine Welborn, wife of Luther Freeman Welborn, died at her home on Russellville Route 4, September 16. She was a daughter of Mary Whitescarver Bodine and Charles William Bodine, both of Kentucky, and was born in 1871. The funeral was held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Jarrett Cemetery, where burial took place. Mrs. Welborn was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. James Hildebrand, city; Mrs. John Browning, Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. W. A. Coffey, Montgomery, Ala.; Mrs. Andrew Jacobs, Indianapolis; Mrs. Cecil Powell, Louisville; three sons, W. B. Welborn, Lewisburg, J. P. Welborn, city; two brothers, three sisters and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Luther Freeman Welborn, 81-year-old retired Logan county farmer who died Monday at Mrs. Ross Brown's nursing home in Allensville, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Richardson Funeral home. Burial was in the Garrett cemetery in Logan county. The Rev. Roy Sears officiated. A member of the Baptist church. Mr. Welborn is survived by five daughters, Mrs. James Hildebrand, Russellville, Route 4; Mrs. J. D. Browning, Indianapolis, Mrs. W. A. Corley, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Andra Jacobs, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Cecil Powell, Russellville, Route 5; and three sons, W. B. Welborn, Dayton, Ohio; J. P. and Charles F. Welborn, both of Russellville, Route 4.
