A. G. Bodine of Paris, Monroe County AND Miss Mollie E. Bennell of Paris, Monroe County were married 14 Oct 1886 at Paris by M. L. Bibb, M.G.
In 1900, Alfred Bodine, age 41 and single, lived with his brother-in-law and sister, Willis E. and Bettie G. Flanders, in Paris, Monroe County, employed as an abstractor. In 1910, he was 52 and single and still lived with the Flanders family, but was now employed as a laborer at odd jobs. The Missouri death certificate (no. 1918-40992 states he died of pneumonia, was a widower, and was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Paris, Monroe County. It also notes his date of birth as 30 Sept 1857.

Circuit Court proceedings of 15 Dec.: Mary E. Bodine was married to Alfred G. Bodine in Monroe county, Missouri, Oct. 1, 1886. She alleges in her petition that he rendered her life miserable in various ways. He gambled, absented himself from home, left unpaid bills and since last March forced her to support herself and child.

Henry and Mary were both married twice and to each other for 13 years. Mary bore 2 children, both living.

From California Death Records: Mary E. BODEN was born 5 Oct 1862 in Missouri and died 17 Sept 1945 in Alameda County. Father-BURNETTE, Mother-LOZIER. [Note: In 1870, Mary E. Burnett, age 7, lived with her widowed mother, Rebecca J. Burnett, 31, and 2 siblings in Pendleton, St. Francois County, Missouri. Lozier was Mary Boden's stepfather. Her father was William J. Burnett who married Rebecca Forta on 23 Aug 1857 in Monroe Co., MO.]

BODEN---In Oakland, September 17, 1945, Mary Elizabeth Boden, wife of the late Henry M. Boden; loving mother of Earl B. Bodine of San Francisco and Mrs. Lucile B. Gregory of San Francisco; grandmother of Mary E. and Jacqueline L. Gregory; a native of Paris, Missouri, aged 82 years. Friends are invited to attend services Thursday, September 20, 1945, at 11 o'clock a.m. at the Truman Colonial Funeral Home, Telegraph Avenue at 30th Street, Oakland. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery.
