Notes for: Sarah ("Sally") Bodine

Sally and Joseph were living near William Bodine's widow, Eliza, in 1850. They are not in the censuses of 1860 and 1870. She was in N. B. McClaskey's household in 1880.

From Nelson County, Kentucky Marriage Records:
Joseph Sparks and Sally Bodine were married 15 Nov 1844 by John Bemiss.
NOTE: The marriage index records the date as 15 Nov 1848, but the marriage return clearly states 1844.

From Kentucky Federal Census records:
1850 (19 Sept) Nelson Co.: Joseph SPARKS 36 KY, Sallie 40 KY, Emily WAKEFIELD 5 KY, James W. 3 KY, Mary E. 1 KY.

1860 (20 June) Spencer Co.: Joseph SPARKS 55 KY, Sarah 52 KY.

Joseph and Sarah Sparks were buried in Big Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, near Bloomfield, Nelson County.
