Notes for: Jonathan Gore

Margaret Rector Gore was the daughter of Jonathan's stepmother Mary Glasscock, by Henry ("Harry") Rector. A good deal of research has been done and published on both the Glasscock and Rector families. Henry Rector was the son of John Rector and Anna Catherine Fishback. John Rector's will, written 5 Nov. 1772, proved 22 March 1773, is in Fauquier Co. Will Book 1, pp. 205-7. Margaret Rector Gore had a sister Catherine Rector who m. Micajah Glasscock of Nelson Co., Ky. Jonathan and both his wives are buried in the Gore-Glasscock cem. near Fairfield, Nelson Co., Ky. (In 1992 this graveyard was on the farm of Harold Moran, who has reset the stones.) It is located about 3.5 miles from Fairfield on Murray's Run Road.)
