The marriage of Robert N. Bodine to Grace Bennett took place on 22 June 1828 in Clark County, Illinois. In 1830, Robert N. Bodine was recorded in the census of Clark County, Illinois with a household that included, besides himself and his wife, a male aged 0-4, one aged 10-14, one aged 20-29 and a female aged 5-9. The youngest male would have been his son, John, but the identities of the other children, who may have been hired help, is unknown. Grace Bodine married Hugh Mallone in Clark County on 16 Oct 1836. In 1850-1860, Hugh and Grace Malone lived in Darwin, Clark County, Illinois. In 1850, their household included her son, William Bodine, aged 19.
