TRENTON--John W. Bodine, 64, died suddenly Friday at home. Born in Trenton, Mr. Bodine was a lifelong resident of Trenton and Morrisville, Pa. He was a member of the American Aviation Historical Society, the YMCA, and belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton sunce 1939. He was also a former secretary for the Mercer County Pilot's Club. He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and served in the Navy during World War II. Son of the late Judge Joseph L. and Gertrude Scudder Bodine, he is survived by a cousin, William B. Baker of Bryn Mawr, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton. The Rev. Dr. John Wiley Nelson, pastor, and Barbara North will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ivins & Taylor Funeral Home, Trenton. Whereas his birth was reported as 25 Oct 1925 for his New Jersey death certificate and 19 Oct 1925 for his SS death claim, it was reported by him as 19 Oct 1925 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Feb 1944 and as 18 Oct 1925 when he applied for a SSN.
