Notes for: Stacy Bodine, Rev.
This information comes from the article on Judge Joseph Lamb Bodine. He was living with his son, Daniel, in Trenton at the time of the 1860 Census (roll 698, p. 25). In the 1850 Census, he and his wife werel living in Burlington County in New Han (maybe New Hampton). See roll 443, page 277.

MARRIAGE: The marriage on 20 Sept 1805 is noted in Mary Elizabeth Sinnott's 1905 "Annals of the Sinnott, Rogers, Coffin, Corlies, Reeves, Bodine and Allied Families," p. 171.
When the village of New Mills was formed into Pemberton Borough a pioneer town meeting was held 7 May 1827 and Stacy Bodine was elected to serve on the Borough Council. He served on the council 1827-1829, 1832-1834 and 1838. From 1821 to 1842 he served as a trustee of the Pemberton Methodist Episcopal Church.

Stacy Bodine, son of John and Mary (Roundtree) Bodine, was born on October 21, 1783, and died on June 26, 1867. He married Elizabeth Budd, a lineal descendant of William Budd, brother of Thomas Budd, surveyor-general of West Jersey and owner of a share proprietary.

DEATHS. BODINE---In this city, on the 26th instant, Rev. Stacy Bodine, in the 84th year of his age. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his son, Daniel B. Bodine, 51 East State street, on Saturday Morning, at 11 o'clock.
The foregoing is contradicted by the "official" death record of Burlington County Deaths, vol. C, p. 802:
Stacy Bodine, single, retired, son of John & Mary, died in Burlington County on 28 July 1867.
He was buried in the Methodist-Episcopal Cemetery in Pemberton, the inscription reading Rev. Stacy Bodine Born Oct. 21, 1783 Died June 26, 1867 was included in the 1883 "History of Burlington and Mercer Counties, New Jersey," p. 402. Another obituary appeared in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 3 July 1867.
