Notes for: Melissa Jane Eaves

It appears that this child died very early in life. She was deceased prior to the sale of property in Hunt County, Texas that had been deeded to her grandmother from the estate of John Bodine. There were about ten acres less than 500 acres involved in the sale. This occurred in the 1870's. One half League and one Labor of land were granted as the second half of the head-right of John Bodine in the early 1840's. This property was then divided into five parts for the heirs of John and Nancy Bodine.
