Notes for: John Joshua Bodine

This man and his mother Josephine are said to have died on the same date. This will be investigated. He and his wife apparently had only one child before the time of his death. His wife Martha Epps was remarried in 1896/97 to a Melvin Tomlin. The 1910 Navarro County Census showed (there is more):
- Tomlin, Melvin Age 66 TENN TENN TENN
- Martha L 45 TX W Va MS

It was reported that John Bodine died as a result of a fall. His widow, Martha 'Mattie', married Melvin Tomlin in 1896/7 and was living with him 1910 in Navarro County, Texas. By April 1930, 'Marthia' Tomlin was again widowed and living in Freestone County. Her daughter Annie and several grandchildren were living with her.
