Notes for: Guillaume Bodin

From Ronny Bodine:

A document of 19 June 1543 identifies the house of Guillaume Bodin, master tailor, on the Rue Val de Maine (or Maienne) in Angers. The house was sold in June 1564. On 2 Dec 1566, the heirs of Bodin appeared before Angevin notaries to resolve a dispute in the division of the estate of their late father. The involved heirs were Jean Bodin the elder and Jeanne Bodin, wife of Michel Gallet, royal sergeant on the one hand and Anne Bodin, second wife of Rene Doute, archer of the provost of the marshals in Anjou and Jean Bodin, lawyer in the Court of Parliament in Paris on the other hand. The other heirs were not named in this dispute and it is thought they were content with the portion they had already received.
