Obituary San Luis Obispo County Tribune of 31 Dec 2017.
Gloria "Jeanne" Bell Gloria "Jeanne" Bell went to be with her God on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Jeanne fought a brief but fierce battle with cancer. She was born on June 21, 1949, in Northfork, Calif. Jeanne grew up in the Fresno/Sanger area, graduating from McLain High School in 1966. She went to nursing school at both Fresno City College and Fresno State University. She also had an Animal Science Degree from Fresno State. Later in life, Jeanne was a Dispatcher for CDF before retiring. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Clayton (CJ) Bell; daughter, Kristi L. Matta; son, Justin C. Easley (Tracie); six grandchildren: Michael, Joshua, Tyler, Arianna, Alexa, and Madeleine; her sister, Cathie (Charlie) Minter; brother, Michael (Kathy) Bodine; nephew, Chet Minter; and nieces: Cory Minter and Michael Bodine. Of all the many things Jeanne did in life, her greatest joy and passion was music. She realized her life long dream when she opened her music school, Rhythm And Keys School of Music, in Grover Beach, where they taught "any instrument and any kind of music." Through the school, Jeanne sponsored a youth band, the "Rkadians." The Rkadians played numerous special events including the Santa Barbara County Fair, Santa Maria and other local venues. The band members were her special kids and gave her immense pleasure every time they played. A Celebration of Life will be held at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018. A reception will follow at the Oceano/5 Cities Elks Lodge, Oceano. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Red Cross in Jeanne's name.
