Notes for: Charles ("C.O.") Oliver Bodine

Charles 'C. O.' Bodine was a farmer in Ackerly and vicinity from 1923 and served several times as a school trustee. In 1910, living in San Augustine County, 'May' Bodine reported having borne 6 children in their 17 years of marriage, of who 5 were then living. Charles Bodine died soon after suffering a heart attack. Charles and Marion Bodine were buried in Big Spring City Cemetery, Big Spring, Dawson County. See their obituaries in the Big Spring "Herald" of 18 July 1941 and 6 Sept 1959.
