Notes for: Benjamin L. Lawless

He was a the son of John and Sally Lawless of Russell County, Kentucky. By tradition, he was said to be a doctor. He apparently married Anne E. Eppes in Shelby County. No marriage record is found in San Augustine. One child was born to the marriage and he abandoned mother and child a short time later. He is later found on the Tarrant County Census in 1870 and then on the Grimes County Census in 1880 (081 enum. dist. 61). More research is needed on this man. He is believed to have had children in a second marriage.
