Obituary, The Brazosport Facts (Freeport, TX) of Thursday, 5 July 1956.
Funeral services are scheduled Saturday for Carl John Bodine, 39, who died in a local hospital Wednesday after a long illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at the First Methodist Church in Clute, and will be conducted by the Rev. C. W. Faulk, pastor of the church. Bodine has been an employess of The Dow Chemical Company for the past five years, serving as an operator in the magnesium department. He is survived by his father, John Oscar Bodine, and a brother, Ernest, both of Detroit, Michigan. Interment will be in Restwood Memorial Park, under the direction of the Freeport Funeral Home.
