Notes for: James Foster Fulkerson

James "Jim" F. Fulkerson, 96, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007. He retired from the Navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer and also retired from civil service at Seymour Johnson A.F.B.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery, New Section.

Surviving is his wife, Daphne Barnes Fulkerson; daughter, Brenda F. Bowie and husband, Jim, of Fremont; son, Michael Fulkerson and wife, Wilma, of Scotland Neck; grandchildren, Jenna Bowie Mentlewski, Mark Bowie and Troy Fulkerson; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Kathy and James Fulkerson; brothers, Walton Fulkerson of Almo, Ky., and Ernest Fulkerson of Central City, Ky.

Following the funeral, the family will adjourn to the Fremont Missionary Baptist Church for a time of sharing and other times at the home.
