From The Tampa (FL) Tribune of 15 July 1953:
Lt. Eugene G. Aldridge, 23, 1531 Rivershore Way, Tampa, was reported missing over enemy territory after his Sabrejet collided in mid-air with another Sabrejet, according to word received yesterday by the family from the War Department. Mrs. Florence King, of rural Tampa, Lt. Aldridge's mother, said the family received work that the planes collided at 35,000 feet, and that they were last seen falling at 1000 feet, but no parachute was seen to leave either. They are believed to have fallen into water. Lt. Aldridge's wife, Mrs. Billie Ruth Aldridge, lives in San Augustine, Tex. The young Tampan graduated from Hillsborough High School and served 18 months in the Navy after his graduation. After leaving the service he went to Florida State University where he was graduated in 1951. He became a second lieutenant in July, 1951, and went overseas in March of this year. Shortly thereafter he was promoted to first lieutenant.

Eugene Gilbert Aldridge of Tampa, Florida, was born 3 Nov 1927 and died 11 July 1953 as a USAF 1st Lt. over North Korea as a result of aircraft loss. His name is inscribed on the National Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
In 1959, Mrs. Billie R. Aldridge, working as a teacher, lived in Beaumont, Texas.

James R. Friesen was buried in Highland Memory Gardens, Lake Charles, LA.
The Aug 2007 obituary of her mother names her Ruth Friesen of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She survived the October 2020 death of her son Daniel D. Friesen, 59.
