John M. Shaver, 88, Dies in Indianapolis

John Morehead Shaver, 88, of Indianapolis, Ind., died suddenly at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at his home.

He is a former resident of Central City and served as janitor of the high school for many years. He was a member of First Methodist Church here.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Allie Shaver of Indianapolis; daughter, Mrs. Lucille Shaver of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Otha Curd of Greencastle, Indiana; half-sister, Mrs. Flora Mathis of Murray; brother, E.G. Shaver of Central City.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Central City by the Rev. Richard Ramsey, pastor of the First Methodist Church, and the Rev. Robert Shaver of Hopkinsville. Burial was in Shaver's Chapel Cemetery at Bremen.
