Notes for: Anne ("Annie") E. Eppes

No record of the marriage of Anne and Benjamin Lawless has been found. It is probable that they were married in Shelby County. Only one child is known to have been born to this marriage and a short time after her birth, Benjamin abandoned his wife and child and left East Texas. The next trace of him is in Fort Worth and later in Grimes County. It is known that Anne filed for divorce in the 1870's and that this was granted. She then married Alexander Passmore and had several children by him.
