William Bodine registered for the World War I draft in 1918 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. In 1920, William and Helen Bodine were living with Helen's parents Elihu and Minnie Pierson in Brooklyn, Kings County. In 1930, the family was living in Garden City, Nassau County, New York where William was engaged as a real estate salesman. In 1942, William Bodine registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Brooklyn, Kings County, New York and an employee of Tri-Boro Gardens, Inc. of Long Island. William and Helen Bodine were buried in the Moravian Church Cemetery, Richmond County.

Wm. Henry J. Bodine and Helen Jeanette Pierson were married 13 March 1918 in Kings County, [Note: Helen is the daughter of Elihu Halsey Pierson.]
