Jerrelyn Ann Powell, 81, of Salmon, Idaho passed away Friday September 27, 2019 of natural causes. Jerrelyn was born to Gerald and Anne Bodine January 28, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jerrelyn attended University of Wyoming and graduated from Western Michigan University in 1960. She studied art and history, both of which she was passionate about and carried with her throughout her life. She married Tom Powell June 4, 1960 in Lawton, Michigan. Jerrelyn and Tom moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she started working her first teaching job. Jerrelyn and Tom finally made it "out west" and settled in Missoula, Montana in 1968. They later moved to Salmon 14 years ago. Jerrelyn is survived by her husband Tom Powell and 2 children: Annalyn Reynolds (Mike), and Eric Powell (Kim), her brother Verne Bodine, brother in-law Norm Turner, and sister in-law and dear friend Jane (aka Laverne) Powell, 6 grandchildren : TJ(aka Timothy) Hefner ,Kayla Wade, Grace Jardee (Chris), Gregg Powell (Kelsey), Tisha Rosenbaum (Cody), and Chelsey Powell. She has 6 great-grandchildren, and one very special great granddaughter due to arrive in January, also numerous nieces and nephews. Jerrelyn's favorite place was her cabin on Owl Creek. She loved gardening, playing cards (Skipbo), and was most often found in Owl Creek with her grandchildren by her side moving rocks, making ponds to soak in on hot summer days. Jerrelyn leaves behind the most beautiful memories. Arrangements are being made by Jones & Casey Funeral Home.
