Mrs. Fannie Spicer Mulkey, age 68, of Patterson, died Thursday morning (10/12/17) at the Sears Manor Nursing Home in Brunswick following an extended illness. Born September 2, 1949 in Hazard, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Doc and Elizabeth Smith Spicer. She lived for several years in Michigan before moving to Pierce County in the 1980's. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Mulkey of Patterson; 4 children, Lisa Whitley of Screven, Tammie Taylor (husband Robert) of Patterson, Richard Allen Bordine, Jr. (wife Tina) of Waycross, and Jodie Thrift (husband Ellie) of Waycross; 12 grandchildren, Charlene Whitley of Screven, Derrick Cochran of Brunswick, David Lee Daniels, Jr. (wife Angela) and Dale Taylor, both of Patterson, Destiny Taylor of Blackshear, and Brent Bordine, Veda Hutchinson (husband Jay), Miranda Thrift, Ellie Thrift, Jr., Fannie Thrift, Mary Thrift, and Wyatt Thrift, all of Waycross; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A memorial service will take place Sunday afternoon (10/15/17) at 2 PM in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.hartfh.com. Richard Allen Bordine Sr., 77, of Waycross, passed away Friday morning, March 25, 2022, at his residence, following an extended illness. Born November 24, 1944 in Ithaca, MI, he was a son of the late Russell and Veda Pratt Bordine. He grew up and lived in Michigan for many years before moving to southeast Georgia in the 1990s. He had lived in Pierce and Ware Counties and had worked for the City of Patterson and J.P. Barnard Construction Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Fannie Mulkey; two grandchildren, Rusty Bordine and Brittany Bordine; his twin sister, Marilyn Matthews and two brothers, Darwin Bordine and Glenn Bordine. Survivors include his four children, Jodie Thrift (husband Ellie), Waycross, Tammie Taylor (husband Robert), Patterson, Lisa Whitley, Screven, and Richie Bordine (wife Tina), Waycross; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Memorialization will be by cremation.
