Carol Ann Karp, 55, of Sturgis, died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at her home. She was born May 15, 1955, in Alma to Darwin and Nannie (Hale) Bordine. On Aug. 15, 2009, she married Randy A. Karp. He survives, along with two daughters, Delta Haley of Arizona and Misty Rogers of Sturgis; a stepdaughter, April Long of Sturgis; a stepson, Andrew Karp of White Pigeon; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Lisa Rummler of Sturgis; and six brothers, Darwin Bordine of Tennessee, Robert Bordine of Florida, Roy Bordine of Tennessee, Emory Bordine and Roy Reno, both of Sturgis and Loren Bordine of Three Rivers. Her parents both preceded her in death. Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the American Legion in Sturgis. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Genesis Outreach Center, 54 N. Hudson St., Coldwater. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with the cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
