Landin Lee Bodine, 18 of Mt. Zion was tragically killed in act of senseless violence on Friday December 5, 2025. A visitation to celebrate Landin's life will be held 4 - 6 pm. Friday December 12, 2025, at the United Funeral Home (515 West Wood Street Decatur, Illinois 62522). A prayer service will follow at the Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Greenwood officiating. Memorials may be made to the Long Live Landin Memorial Fund C/O FNB Pana. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Landin was born November 2, 2007, in Decatur the son of Jason Bodine and Amanda White. He was currently a student at Mt. Zion Futures and worked at the Krekel's in Forsyth. He played football and ran track in 2023 at Mt. Zion. Landin was a hard worker, loyal friend and his little brother's keeper. He loved music, car stereos, and working on cars with Tristen. Landin loved late night runs to Taco Bell and quiet moments at the Sportsman's Park by the lake. He enjoyed many fishing outings, cruising to car shows and daily trips to Walmart. Landin had a very special relationship with his grandma Carolyn who showered him with love, candy, cookies and all the soda pop a kid could ever want. Surviving is his parents, Jason Bodine (Heather), Amanda White and step-dad Dalton, siblings, Carter Bodine, bonus siblings Harper White, Bella Fields, Paternal grandmother, Beverly Arnold, special great aunt Kimmie Lienemann (Chris), special cousins, Jaci Cecil, Gary Cecil (Bri and Dax) maternal uncle Tim White (Esther), paternal aunt Jennifer Briner and many cousins, best friends Tristen Gilman and Brayden Toberman bonus grandparents Kevin and Donna O'Laughlin. He was preceded by his paternal grandfather Lonnie "Pete" Bodine, maternal grandparents, Tim and Cheryl White and great grandparents, Gary and Carolyn Bodine. DECATUR, Ill. (WICS) - A 23-year-old man pleaded not guilty this week to multiple felony charges in connection with a Dec. 5 shooting at Sportsman Park that left 18-year-old Landin Bodine dead, according to court records and police.
