Hey Dave,

I went back and double checked this and it is what it is. There are a number of trees on Ancestry and they all say the same thing--born in KC, MO. Who knows what he was thinking in 1920 or the census taker was confused.

...The 1920 Census said John Rumsby was from Sweden, but then he seems to try and hide that fact later on. That, or there is something else not lining up. What do you think? Everything else looks straight up.

1. Maude Mary Bodine married John Peters Rumsby 26 April 1905 in Jackson County, Missouri. He was born 26 November 1880 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and died 14 April 1958 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.
