BODINE--Mrs. Alice, 41, of 5309 Jackson Ave., died Monday in a local hospital. She was a member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church and had been an employee of Chattanooga Public Schools. Survivors include her husband, George Bodine, son George Bodine Jr., daughter, Dawn Michelle Ivester, her mother Virginia Russell, brother, Sam Walker Jr, all of Chattanooga; five sisters, Shirley Phillips, Spencer, N.C., Christine Walker, Marlo, Ill., Virginia Hatfield, Helen Walker and Tammy Swafford, all of Chattanooga; one granddaughter. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Irene Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

George D. Bodine Sr., 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at home. He was a loving father and friend. He was a lifelong resident of North Chattanooga and a retired painter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Elizabeth Bodine. Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Michele and Robert Kenneth Ivester of Summerville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, George Dallen and Susan Marie Bodine Jr. of East Ridge; adopted son, Lebron Winters; six grandchildren, Brittany Renee Ivester, Jonathan Eugene Bodine, Scott James Bodine, Christopher Heath Ivester, Zachary Hunter Ivester and Alice Elizabeth Bodine; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Carroll L. Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Charles Winters, Lebron Winters, Eddie Ramsey, Jimmy Black, Joseph Hendrix, Timmy Smith, Travis Thurman and Ronnie Hendrix. The family will receive friends from 2 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
