Chattanooga City Directories show Cecil Bodine living alone in 1942 and married to Agnes S. in 1946.

Bodine--Cecil A., 66, of 103 Peerless Ave., Chattanooga, died Wednesday morning in a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was the son of the late Fred and Martha Shipley Bodine. Mr. Bodine was owner of Bodine Refinishing Shop and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Agnes Price Bodine; two sons, Billy Price, Rossville, and Jimmy Price, Decatur, Tenn.; brother Earl Bodine, Chattanooga; niece, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. Raymond Griffith officiating. Pallbearers will be Dallion Bodine, Kenneth Sherrill, Johnny McGuire, Len Bodine and Len Bodine, Jr., and James H. Price, Jr. The body is at the R. J. Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home Inc.

The obituary of Gracie Smith Brown, 81, of Athens, Tenn., daughter of Fred & Nettie (Rinehart) Smith, named among her survivors a sister, Agnes Bodine of Chattanooga.

Agnes Melissa Price Bodine, 90, a 60-year resident of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, in Decatur, Tenn. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from 3M Company with 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Bodine; three sons, Jim, Bobby and Billy Price. Survivors include two daughters-in-laws, Jean Price, Decatur, and June Price, Rossville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Visit www.lane-coulterchapel.com to send condolences.
