BODINE--Earl B., 77, of 3562 Valley Trail, died Tuesday in a local hospital. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, he was retired from Tennessee-American Water Co. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors inclide his wife, Essie Lou Sanders Bodine; son, Frank L. Bodine Sr.; two grandchildren, Lynn and Angelia Bodine, all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Donald Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6--9 p.m. today and Thursday at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

BODINE--Mrs. Essie Lou, of 3562 Valley Trail, Red Bank, died Monday at her home. Retired from Miller Brothers after 30 years of service, she was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and was the widow of Earl B. Bodine. Survivors include her son, Frank L. Bodine, Sr.; two grandchildren, Lynn Bodine and Angie Scissom, all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Steve Witt officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2--4 and 7--9 p.m. today at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
