Notes for: William Blair ("W.B.") Godbey

He published the "Godbey Translation of the New Testament" which found much acceptance. He was a master of Greek and used only the Greek New Testament. This comes from page 114 of "Methodism in Kentucky."

He also wrote an autobiography, but a quick look through it didn't seem to give much about his genealogy other than that he had four brothers and five sisters. One of his brothers died as an infant. Another died at age 28.

W. B. Godbey was famous for his involvement in the Holiness Movement. Much has been written about him.
