Newark police say asphyxiation was the apparent cause of death of three boarders in a rooming house above a bar over the weekend. The bodies of Howard Bodine, 65, Marjorie Mandville, 31, and Lettie Watkins, 66, were discovered on the third floor of the house at 179 Orange St., in the North Ward here Sunday, police said.
