Carl E. Bodine, the promising seventeen-year-old son of Capt. J. E. Bodine, of No. 943 North New Jersey street, was drowned about 1 o'clock this afternoon in Fall creek, near Twenty-second street. Flanner & Buchanan's Ambulance was called to search for the body.

Note: The father of the deceased, J. E. Bodine is James E. Bodine of 943 N. New Jersey who appears as such in the 1891 Indianapolis city directory.

Carl E. Bodine was buried 11 July 1892 in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
