Dulcie Marguerite (Coyne) Bordine Elliott, 75, of Merryville, La., formerly of Battle Creek, died Monday, Feb. 14, 1994, in Merryville Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Ypsilanti to John Edgar and Lottie Amelia (Weigand) Coyne. She attended Battle Creek Public Schools. She worked at Post Cereal Division of General Foods as a clerk. In 1959, she received a civil service appointment as a accounting clerk at Fort Eustis, Va. In April 1965, she became an accountant at American Cyanamid in Havre De Grace, Md. In the late 1960s, she held several jobs in Okinawa, where she lived for six years, including maintenance clerk, Postal Service office commissary division, property supply clerk, chief of the financial inventory section of the 176th Ordinance Department Directorate of Ammunition Operations, and supervisory accounting clerk for 2nd Logistical Command. Besides Baltimore and Garden City, N.Y., she alo lived and worked in Yokohama. She returned to the United States in July 1971, and returned to Battle Creek in 1974, where she was a supply cataloger at the Defense Logistics Service Center until she retired in 1980. She completed numerous training courses during her civil service career, and attended the University of Maryland-Far East and Kellogg Community College. She received many awards, including Outstanding Performance in 1967, 1970 Employee of the Year and a letter of commendation from President Jimmy Carter in 1978. While overseas, she traveled extensively. On Nov. 21, 1938, she married Jack Forrest Bordine. They had two children. Later, they divorced and she married Kenneth Gordon Elliott. They had two children. They also divorced. She is survived by daughters, Gloria J. Bordine Hayes of Keithville, La., and Rebecca (Elliott) Saucier of Ocala, Fla.; sons, Girard Bordine of Evans, La., and James Elliott of Perry Point, Md.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris M. Peake of Battle Creek. Her mother died in 1942, her father in 1970, and a brother, Howard Merle "Bill" Coyne, in 1985. Services: 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, the Rev. Brian Spencer officiating. After the service, the family will be present at 108 Pepper Lane, bedford Hills Village. Burial: West Pennfield family plot. Memorials: Alzheimer's Foundation.

Jack F. Bordine, of Baltimore, and formerly of Battle Creek, died Sunday, Sept. 18, in University of Baltimore Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Battle Creek and was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He served with the merchant marines during World War II and was a machinist with Crown Cork and Seal Co., Baltimore until retiring. Surviving are a son, Girard F. Bordine of Evans, La.; daughters, Linley Loyd of Battle Creek, Shane Albert of Delton and Gloria Hays of Shreveport, La.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Edward J. Webber Funeral Home, Baltimore. Memorial donations may go to American Heart Association.
