Notes for: Frederick (Fredrick) Bodine
This comes from the Somerset County Historical Quarterly, v. 7, p. 172:

Abraham Bodine, 1761
Frederick Bodine, 1761
It is probably a good guess that Frederick, son of Isaac Bodine, is the same as the Frederick Bodyn mentioned in the Somerset County Historical Quarterly, v. 4, pp. 215 -219. This is where the name of his wife and some of his children come from.
His will of December 29, 1769 was probated on October 29, 1770 (Trenton, Liber L, folio 47). It names his wife Elsie and three (sic?) children: Issac, John, Gysbert, Sarah wife of John Van Nest, Mary wife Simon Cole, Elizabeth Bodine, Elsie Bodine, and Catherine Bodine.
From Ronny Bodine:
Frederick Bodine was baptised 26 April 1709 at the Raritan (now Somerville) Dutch Reformed Church, Somerset County, New Jersey. His will of 29 Dec 1769, was proved 29 Oct 1770. Therein, he is described as being a resident of Bridgewater Township, Somerset County, and named his wife, Elsie, and children Isaac, John and Gysbert, and Sarah (wife of John Vannest), Mary (wife of Simon Cole), Elizabeth, Elsie and Catherine (New Jersey Archives, Series 1, 33: 48). On 4 August 1752, Frederick Bodine assumed the administration of his father's estate when his mother renounced her right. In 1758 he served as Commissioner of Highways for Somerset County.
