CLOVER, S.C. - Roland "Boe" A. Bodine, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Sunflower Springs of Lake Wylie, surrounded by his loving family. Born Oct. 30, 1943, in Youngstown, Boe was the son of the late Roland and Helen Newby Bodine. Boe graduated from South High School in Youngstown and worked for 35 years on the assembly line at General Motors 'Lordstown Manufacturing Plant before retiring. A member of Holy Family Parish in Poland, Boe was a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley until relocating to South Carolina to be with his family in 2022. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Boe's greatest joy was spending time with his family - especially his beloved grandchildren. He was also an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, Boe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, the former Nancy J. Leslie, who passed away June 21, 1999. Boe is survived by his children, Brian J. (Melissa) Bodine of Clover, South Carolina, with whom he made his home, and Jennifer L. (Scott) Nastase of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his two cherished grandchildren, Kylie Nastase and Madison Bodine. Family and friends may visit 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, and 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland. A service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Deacon Paul Lisko officiating. Boe will be laid to rest in Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
