Earle Bodine, musician, born 24 Feb 1909 in Russellville, KY, a resident of Dayton, Ohio, son of Verna Bodine & Martha Sadler AND Lillian Peck, born 17 Aug 1910 in Kentucky, a resident of Richmond, Indiana, daughter of J. L. Peck & Elizabeth Centers, were married 24 Dec 1931 by S. K. Morgan, J.P. [Note: Kentucky Birth Records list 17 Aug 1912 as Lillian's birth date.]

Lillian (Peck) Bodine was the daughter of James Madison and Millie Elizabeth (Centers) Peck. The 1933-1934 Dayton City Directories show Earl, a music teacher, and Lillian Bodine living at 9 Urbana in 1933 and 636 Bolander Avenue in 1934. Neither appear in the 1936 directory. Earle and Lillian Bodine divorced and on 2 Jan 1937 in Liberty, Indiana Lillian married Henry Nelson Johnson (1908-1976).

BODINE, Marjorie (Raby) 91, of Englewood, Ohio, passed away December 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle Bodine, a son, Charles Bodine, her parents Rayma (Hardison) Raby and Orville Raby, her brother Joseph Raby and great-grandaughter, Samantha Carpenter. She is survived by children: Carol (Chris) Zuccaro, Richard (Barb) Bodine, James (Peggy) Bodine, Martha (Rick) Clark, Linda Levitan-Quigley (Michael), her sister-in-law, Nancy Raby, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many more cousins, family and friends who simply knew her as "Grandma". There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road Wednesday, December 31, 2014 starting at 12 noon followed by a Celebration of Marjorie's Life at 1:00 pm with Pastor Darryl Fairchild presiding. Earle D. Bodine of Trotwood died 17 Oct 1976 in Grandview Hospital, Dayton, aged 67 years.

BODINE, Earle D., age 67, of 69 Brookhaven Dr., Trotwood, died Sunday. He had been a local real estate broker and involved in area music for many years. Survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons, Richard of Trotwood, James of Dayton; daughters, Mrs. Carol Zuccaro, Mrs. Martha Clark and Mrs. Linda Levitan, all of Trotwood; sister-in-law, Mrs. Leslie Bodine of Dayton; nephew, Paul Stookey of Trotwood and niece, Mrs. Barbara Zigler of Louisville, Ky.; 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Rogers Funeral Home, Trotwood, Pastor James T. Caldwell officiating. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
