From Texas Certificate of Death for Margaret Carmen Allen, dau. of James Birdine & Mamie Dill, wife of Hollis H. Allen, born 29 Sept 1911 in Texas, died 22 Feb 1980 in Jasper, Jasper County and buried in Hill of Rest Cemetery. Informant was Hollis H. Allen.

Services for Hollis Holder Allen, 81, of Channelview, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Navarre's Paul U. Lee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Worden McDonald officiating. Allen died Wednesday at a Channelview hospital. He was a retired operator for Exxon. He is survived by five sons, Raymond Allen of Pearland, Hollis Allen of Channelview, James Allen of Wilson, Okla., Guy Allen of Anchorage, Alaska and John Allen of Soldonato, Alaska; three daughters, Mary Alice Owen and Martha K. Townsend, both of Houston, and Margaret E. Slaughter of Nacogdoches; one brother, Guy Allen of Galena Park; and one sister, Selma Allen of Maryland. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Hill of Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Arrangements are under direction of Navarre's Paul U. lee Funeral Home.
