Thank you for the reply. Marion Wallace Seay, Jr. mom's name was Ethel Goatley. She was Marion Wallace Seay, Sr.'s 1st wife. After she passed he married Birdie Love Bodine which became his step-mom and my mom's step-grandmother. Marion Wallace Seay Jr. married Mary Louise Reardon which were my maternal grandparents.

I located information from a 1880 United States Census I found Marion Wallace Seay recorded at the age of 1. It listed his father Frank B. Seay and mother Leaann Seay (there was no maiden name). This is as far as I have gotten.

There is a family story that my generation is a 17th or 18th cousin of Abraham Lincoln but I am not sure if it is on my mom's mother side or her dad's side. Have you heard of anything like this on the Seay/Bodine family line?
