Jane (Parkin) Bodine was the daughter of Walter Neil and Fanny (Simminonite) Parkin. On 12 Sept 1918, Charles Jansen Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Springfield, Massachusetts. He said he was born 9 June 1881 and was married to Jennie Bodine.

Charles and Jane Bodine were divorced Dec 1925 in Bridgeport, Conn. Eleanor Thompson was the daughter of William Andrew and Georgianna (Brown) Thompson.

WALDEN---Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bodine of New York City are visiting at the home of Mr. Bodine's sister, Miss Rachel Bodine of Orchard street. Mr. Bodine, a former Walden resident, is noted for his writings on historical events in relation to Orange County and in particular, to the Town of Montgomery. During his vacation here he is gathering material for further articles by delving into the oldest records of town board meetings.

WALDEN--Mrs. Eleanor Thompson Bodine, wife of Charles J. Bodine, died suddenly this morning at her home 173 Walnut street. Mrs. Bodine was born in New York City, March sixth, 1882, a daughter of William Andrew and Georgianna Brown Thompson. She was a member of the Walden Reformed Church, the Sunshine Society, Home Bureau and the Walden Women's Club. Besides her husband, Mrs. Bodine is survived by a sister, Miss Estella Thompson, Jamaica, L. I., and a brother, Henry William Thompson of West Springfield, Mass. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Fred C. Gridley Funeral Home with the Rev. Everett Wagner officiating. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden. Friends may call at the home Saturday evening between seven and nine o'clock.
