Miss Rachel Bodine, 173 Walnut St., a retired registered nurse, died Monday after a long illness. She was 84. She was born in the Town of Gardner August 19, 1873, daughter of Charles and Jane Jansen Bodine. A nurse for 43 years, Miss Bodine retired in 1937. She was a member of the Walden Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, Charles J., Walden. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Fred C. Gridley and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. C. Everett Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.
