Notes for: Francis Bodine

In the will of Francis' father (Francis), he received half of a tract of land, with the other half going to his brother, Wesley. He does not appear on the Sevier County tax records for 1837 or 1838 nor on the 1840 census. However, in a lawsuit initiated by William Patterson and brought before the Sevier County Court on February 24, 1888, it was stated therein that Francis Bodine died unmarried seven years after the death of his father. His half-share of the land went to his brother, Wesley, and two sisters, Charlotte and Jane.
