A two-year-old child drowned in Conesus Lake Sunday afternoon, after escaping adult supervision. The child, Stuart Bodine, and his step-father, Robert Newcomb, had been visiting relatives near 1966 East Lake Rd., the home of Robert Shearer, opposite whose property the boy was found. The boy was found and removed from the water by Dean Smith, a resident of the neighborhood where the drowning occured, and William Rowland, who was visiting in the area. [Details of the drowning ommitted.] Newcomb and his wife, Laura, live on Henry Rd., Town of Avon. Besides his parents, Stuart Bodine is survived by two brothers, Scott Bodine and Thomas Newcomb; a half-brother, Mark Newcomb; and a half-sister, Nancy Newcomb. Services were held at the Brown funeral Home Wednesday. Burial was at the Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
